Those of you with photo editing software might like this. You've seen the cool photos Victory has of their bikes in interesting places (highway, warehouse, canyon roads, etc.). I thought it would be fun for us to make our own cool venues. Like the one I did below...

So, over the next month or so, I'm asking you all to find and photograph interesting backdrops in which to show off the Victory Highball. I've included a 24bit transparent PNG of the Highball in which you can insert in your photograph using any photo editor of your choice. Once you created the composite (like mine above), post it to this thread. Submission deadline is 2/28/11 midnight ET. Greg Brew, the Director of Industrial Design for Victory will choose the best one and we'll send that member a tshirt. Victory has also been nice enough to also kick in a prize, a very limited edition Highball belt buckle.

And 1954 just gets closer, and closer. Whoop-de-friken-doo

Been there - done that. Ain't never going back..... And will trade my Vision in a heartbeat for something better. Not older.

...Don, I understand where you are coming from. I thought I was getting old until I rode a Vegas Low, love that bike, even with the wind in my face. Now mind you, I would not go to Cali on a Vegas or an High-Ball, but it would be a great 'round towner.

I have a friend and know of others that swear by apes and would like to give it a try. That friend of mine rides a yamy and gets down seriously in riding, done several east to west coast rides to ride east again for the ride to the wall for Rollin' Thunder. He was also out riding in 24 degree weather with his apes, and he lives about 20 miles out in the country. With all that said, the High-Ball may have items that were common in the days of yore, it is by no means a throw-back to the old days.

UGLY - Just ugly. Don't care how it runs. A 1948 Ford is/was/and will always be - ugly. Why reproduce it? You can probably tell I'm not a fan of 'retro'.

I guess because I'm old enough to remember how ugly the things were when they were still around in my early years. I shall try to restrain my comments out of respect for you younger persons who don't share my memories. Sorry.

I might not share your memories, but I like you sharing your memories. Right now the Vic's aren't old enough to be part of the old school, and the High Ball is distinctly Victory, as is the Vision. I've grown fonder of the overall Victory line looks, but frankly, one of the best looking bikes Victory made, is the old 92. I wasn't very familiar with Victory at all when I bought my Vision and I strolled up to the HD dealer on it one day, and a bike they had sitting out front caught my eye. Loved the look and the color tone and thought it was a custom Harley. Nope, it was a 92, and it was the best looking bike on the lot except for my Vision.

I don't see the need in going "back" as these are my younger days. I can apply a whole lot more common sense and make the whole ride more enjoyable. Ride is our passion, what we ride is how we express it.

...and what's wrong with a '48 Ford?

The Highball isn't my choice of ride. It has a certain apeal for possibly a newer customer to Victory and I'm sure there are specific demographics they are shooting for. (Just as they did with the Vision) I own two Vics. I have a 03 Classic Cruiser which I love and I will never get rid of it. I also have a Vision, which I love also. I will never get rid of it either. Both have very different and distinct rides. The Highball wasn't designed for everyone. But the quality and reliability of a Vic will make it an easy choice for someone looking for that style of ride.

The Photoshot contest is just for the fun of it. I started a new hobby of photography and digital editing. So when I saw this on the forum, I thought it would be lots of fun to play with. I'll probably do a few more. Anyone want to send me a pic of your bike, I can play with it too. The weather is so crappy here that I can't ride. 6" of snow on the ground with 8-12 more coming this week.

Very creative with the Warhol themes. Now go to bed it's late . . . Wait, you are West Coast and I'm Central, maybe I'll go to bed then. Goodnight!

A few of the "The Sons of Lee Marvin" blowing off a little steam with dad. I wonder if that is a "three patch" club?

They don't ship until about April. Yes, all photos are composites of a highball photo and a background photo. That's what its all about, have fun with it. You can download the Highball photo from the first page of this thread.

OK, the submission deadline for the Victory Highball Photo Contest has come. All tolled, there were 60 photos entered. Thanks to all who had fun and entered some pretty cool/fun/weird/hip/badass photos. I worry about the minds of some of you.

I'll now ask Greg Brew, Director of Industrial Design for Victory to choose one he best thinks captures the Highball's persona. Being that Daytona is just about to start and Greg will probably be there rater than in MN in front of a computer, I'm going to give him a little more time to pick a winner. If you are down in Daytona and see Greg, no cheep bribes will be accepted. Remember, this contest was all in good fun and I hope he has just as much fun judging.

Once we have a winner, I'll announce him to the group and arrange for the prizes to be shipped.

Thanks for playing!!!
