| Now I know there has been alot of threads on GPS, however, after the ones I read I could not find anything that cabn provide me with any type of review on the subject matter. Has anyone used the the TourTech? What are the ups and the downs, can you update maps etc.?

Peace,
The TourTech is the Garmin Street Pilot 2720 branded with a Victory Logo- you can update maps but cannot add Sat Radio.
I have had the SteetPilot for about 4 years- works fine, but did have to have the screen replaced one- cost more since it was a "branded" piece. They ended up replacing the whole unit.
Depending on Price, you may be better off lookiing at other options. The mounting bracket becomes the issue. |

| Depending on the model, IE 2720 or 28xx you cannot update maps past a certain year. I have the oldest one. It works fine with a small flash card but I purchased a large one to hold all of the US and it doesn't like it. But I am still happy with my purchase, I bought it cheap, how often do roads change anyway, and it looks factory. |

Posts: 742 North Orange County CA | I bought the 2720 as a factory refurb on ebay for $220 and the Victory mounts for about $95 (at the time) from my dealer.
I liked it well enough on the bike that I bought the same unit for my car (yeah I know but its a redundancy thing).
Map upgrades are not inexpensive, I recall that its about 100 bucks per year. Updating the maps has not been a problem so far. Download from Garmin - hook the GPS up to the computer with the supplied usb cable. Go.
My only beef(s) with the system is the relatively poor illumination of the screen which detracts from my ability to read it during the day if I am wearing sunglasses and the factory mounting position also creates a bit of an issue with my glasses. I have had the bifocals adjusted so that they work best while looking at my mirrors.
A dash mount position would be about the same distance as the mirrors and make it easier to read without taking my eyes completely off the road which you have to do with the GPS in the factory position. Kind of dumb if you ask me.
I do like the Female Australian voice better than the American one - she just sounds more polite when ordering me to turn left - NOW! |

here is the gpx file that you can download from their site that lists victory dealers.
I would suggest comparing the entries to the Victory dealer thread here and editing as needed.
