Quad Cities, IL | Ok, so I live in a small town outside the IL Quad Cities. Small town with plenty of police presence. The past few weeks I have noticed one of the cops tracking my ride as I roll by one of his usual camping spots. Could be that I am one of the very few riding so soon up here, could be the Hi Vis jacket. Oh, yeah...I ride a VISION!  I kinda chuckled about it.
So this morning, I'm rolling out after a good rain last night and a cool morning temp. Still in my sub, just hit 2nd gear...and there he is around a corner as I am leaving the sub (not a usual spot). Before I even get to him, he hits his lights, steps out of his car and waves me over. CRAP!
He said he clocked me at 34 (maybe & likely) in a 20. Then he says "Man, this is a great looking bike" Takes a good look at the Vision...not a hallucination. Says it again "Nice bike, had to see it up close. Oh and slow down in the 20 zone. Ride safe." Thank you sir, I will.

Quad Cities, IL | For the record...same guy, same spot this morning. The difference was I was rolling along at 20-ish. Got a big wave from the friendly Cop as I tooled by on this 25F morning.  |
