Posts: 164 Quad Cities, IL | Don't know the bike or seller. Call me crazy, but the price makes me suspect. Either a typo or something seriously not right that isn't being mentioned. Could be worth the follow-up but I'd approach with some skepticism. Good luck to your pal, the Vision is a GREAT ride! |

Posts: 273 Midlothian, Va. | I told him when it sounds too good to be true it usually is. I also fear scam is the deal here and I'm hoping someone in this area could verify the bike and seller. I told him to ask for the vin # so let's see if that comes. |

Posts: 74 Lehigh Valley, Pa | I would call the owner (if he exists) and ask if he would take it to the nearest dealer for inspection. If it is for real, you pay for an hour or two of labor and can make an informed decision. If the dealer finds any issues you are out $100, and walk away. If it is a scam there will be no cost involved because he will not go for the plan. |

Posts: 273 Midlothian, Va. | This is the email my friend just got and it has scam written all over it...................Hello,
As you probably noticed, the price is rather low, the reason I selling the motorcycle at this price because I bought the motorcycle from United States and I moved with my family and my business in Italy. The motorcycle is here in my garage, I can't ride and I can't sell the motorcycle here because all documents are available in United States, I can't register the motorcycle here. Now I can't come to the US to sell the motorcycle because I'll lose a lot of time and money, my only chance to sell the motorcycle is to find a buyer from US. I can ship the motorcycle to your home address, shipping will take about 10 working days, after you receive the motorcycle you will have another 2 days to inspect it. When the inspection period ends the shipping company contacts you and if there are any issues with the motorcycle, the motorcycle will be shipped back at my expense. If all is good with the motorcycle, which I'm sure it will be, they will assist you with the title transfer and release the payment to me.
I am going to be responsible for transportation fees, I use an international shipping company, they act as a third party and will protect both of us in this transaction. I tried to explain as best I can if you have other questions leave me your phone number and I'll call you. You won't find another motorcycle in such nice condition.
I'm waiting your e-mail, I hope to make a deal with you.
I really hate these people! |

Posts: 785 Mt. Wait.it's Italy where Amanda Knox is in prision for 26 years because of crooked prosecuters and seemingly never ending court apperances 'it's Tuesaday, we will reconviene next October..'
Definately put that deal in the same category as 'I've got an AMWAY business I'd like to talk with you about'

| I wounder if it has a salvage tittle and thats why it so cheap. If the guy is willing to give you the vin number over the phone you could ask your dealer to run the number and see what comes up.
Did I see whitewall tires

Posts: 199 Salt Lake City | I'd say, "save your money". If you do have $5,200 to spend, I have 47 cases of Amway Laundry Detergent in the garage - vintage early 70's - that is only increasing in value every day. Would be a fine investment..... |
