Subject: Trip to the Keys, need help with route in Fl.

Leaving Va later this month taking I-95 and it seems easy enough to get to Fl. but the rest of the way looks like it could be a traffic nightmare. Also read about some of the toll roads only accept Fl. smart tags. The ride doesn't need to be all interstate but I also don't want miles of stop and go small towns and traffic lights.

To stay out of small towns/stop & go traffic, you'll almost HAVE to stay on I-95 or the Florida Turnpike (which is a toll road). Sorry, but that's just the way it is.

I-95 to about 30 miles north of Ft Lauderdale then take the toll road around Miami, it runs into US 1 around Homestead..............
