There is a group heading down from the ATL for this race from the VMC. Jethro (Mike Pearce) will be running his new Vic drag bike there as well. I would contact Mike for all the details....

I think those stinking checkpoints were for Daytona only. No matter what it was bullshit. I was wrong on the time it's more like 3 hrs down from Atlanta. As of today the weather down in Valdosta looks excellent for the weekend. Bring a hat, sunscreen and maybe ear plugs.........

I'm about an hour north of Atlanta, just off US 129.

The South Georgia Motorsports Park, was a very nice venue. All paved parking for spectators and a nice resturaunt/ concession stand that was inside and air conditioned. The racing was excellent. Saw two record runs: Korry Hogan set a Top Fuel MPH record of 255, and Tak Shigematsu set a Nitro Harley 1/4 mile record of 6.12. All in all a good 600 mile weekend and some great racing, didn't see the Victory dragbike someone else mentioned, and I was the only Vision in the parking lot.........
