Hello all,

Just had a few questions about the installation of the Zumo 660 on my 09 Vision. I read the other posts and threads in regards to the installation, but forgive me if I missed the answers to my questions.

1. Where do I get the 90 degree elbow that turns into the top panel? This is where you have to drill a hole through the top panel to let the wires through. The 660 mounting hardware that I have is straight.

2. Can you simply pull the connection out from the base of the mount to get the wires though the hole? I assume you can since I see no way to get the bundle of wire though the hole/grommet.

3. Where can I get a grommet to cover the hole? The mounting hardware did not come with one. ???

4. For an 09 Vision, what color wires are for the speakers? I'd just like to tap into the speakers then wire it for power.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Did you ever get your installation done? I just bought the Victory 660 for my new '11 and would like some tips on installation before I crack open the boxes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hmmmmmmmm...  lets see if I can answer these questions without more confusion since I did the install of 660 earlier this year.  Please be aware, I've slept a few times... so here we go:

1. Where do I get the 90 degree elbow that turns into the top panel?
There isn't one... from the Garmin cradle, you simply twist down the wire into the hole you drill.  It's a tight bend, but I've had no issues at all since install.
2. Can you simply pull the connection out from the base of the mount to get the wires though the hole?
Not sure I remember disconnecting anything, I just wiggled the wire loom through the hole I cut.  I do recall it was a VERY TIGHT fit, but did go.  Proceed slowly, since the panel is aluminum, you don't want to do any damage to the wiring.
3. Where can I get a grommet to cover the hole?
I assume you are talking about the hole you drilled into the console?   For this, you cannot use the Garmin wiring loom.  You must purchase the plug-n-play Zumo wire to integrate into the Vision from Ma' Vic.  This will tie the Garmin cradle directly into the vision plug that is hiding on the inner right side of the fairing.  The Vic wire comes with the grommet to assist in sealing the hole.   If you use the Garmin wiring, I don't think it'll match up to the Vision perfectly... may have to do some cutting / splicing.
4. For an 09 Vision, what color wires are for the speakers?
If you use the Vic wire I mentioned in #3, this FULLY INTEGRATES the Zumo commands and it comes right out the speakers..... all nice and easy, plug-n-play.  Only drawback is you just have to buy the damn wire harness from Vic.

Hope this helps some..
