| I would like to remove the rear tip overs and get them powder coated. I see that the swing arm shaft is bolted to it. If I undo that shaft and the two allan bolts, should the rear tip over side out? Has anyone experienced this. also I noticed the left and right side have different torque specs. Why?

Posts: 935 Rockford, IL | Been a few years since I messed with my tipovers but I think I remember that there are two nuts on each side of the swingarm. One nut holds the tipover and the other one is for the swingarm shaft. An inner and outer bolt and the tipover is sandwhiched in the middle.
Have no idea about the specs being different. |

| That would make sense. if the inside is 65 lb-ft and the outside holding the tip over is 24 lb-in. Tough to tell from the diagram

Central Wisconsin | I just installed the rear tip overs and torqued them at 65lbs and the two allen head bolts at 18lbs.
