| A friend had some lady do his with 3m paint protector and has save his paint many times. He found her threw a local car dealer.
I'm sure you could do it all you need is water and a squeegee kinda like tinting windows |

Fargo, ND | I had a window tint shop apply the 3M Invisible Paint Protector to the side of the saddlebags where my wife's chaps rub, and the front lower area behind the front tire after mine was painted to match. It works very well. It is a bit harder to apply than window tint, so you need to know what you're doing. It's also not cheap, so you don't want to be screwing it up and re-doing. I hit a bird at 75 on the interstate right behind the front tire, and aside from a gouge in the plastic film where his beak hit, the paint was unscathed. Have a professional put it on. You won't be sorry. |

Western WA | I did the same as Arkainzeye, about 3 weeks after I got the Vision in April 2008.
Took a bit to get used to the application. Playing around with the best way to position, get the bubbles out, etc.
It's been great. It has held up very well and the paint under the guard looks fantastic. |

Pittsburgh, PA | yeah it wasnt easy to install. but if i had to do it again i would!! actually i need one or two pieces replaced. because of boot scuff marks. but i would rather have boot scuff marks on that then the paint! |

| Same as noted can be tough to get air bubbles out more so with the larger pieces. But it does protect the trouble spots and the pieces are well cut and designed to be stretched into place. Have patience and it works well. Most of the bike even looking close you can't see the film. |

Pittsburgh, PA | it is worth is i have NO chips in my paint at all! and i have heard rocks or what not bounce off the lower front of my bike a few times! |

Rancho Cucamonga, CA | Well, I got it all installed. Took about 3 hours to do. Most of the pieces aren't noticable at all. A few have some minor bubbles that should disappear within 72 hours. I'm glad I did it. Now I'm one step closer to my Alaska trip.
I was suprised that a few parts didn't have covers - the glovebox, fuel door, front access panel.. |
