Fountain Inn, SC United States | Besides Polaris' acquisition of Indian Motorcycles, another big news story was that they will be keeping some of its engine manufacturing operations in the Osceola facility.

The Indian Motorcycle manufacturing plant in Kings Mountain will close in a few months following this week's announcement the motorcycle company has been sold to Medina, Minn-based Polaris Industries.
Polaris spokeswoman Marlys Knutson said the operation will move to Spirit Lake, Iowa, but no timetable has been confirmed. She said about 24 employees currently work at the Kings Mountain plant.

Yet there are some Vision sub-assemblies that come from China.
Like the Bosch fuel pump. Is that Polaris/Victory's fault, or their supplier, Bosch's? Sucks, either way. I would have preferred that they had used American made Walbro pumps, even if they had cost a little more.
The boat ride from China for the Bosch pumps must be pretty expensive. They retail for around $350.
It's good to hear that they are keeping the Osceola plant open.
If the new Polaris Indian is as good as the Polaris Victory, there may be an Indian motorcycle in my future.
