Proves once again that just when man thinks he's Billy Badass along come old Mother Nature saying 'watch this...'
Positive thoughts for all- |

Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | Thank you: I live In Carrollton Ga, about 25 miles from the Alabama line. I was glad when I got home this morning from work that my house was NOT a convertible. I was flying around those monsters last night ( I'm an airline pilot ) I've been flying since 1984 back in my Air Force days, never saw any storms that strong, it was like we were flying on another planet, maybe one of the moons of Jupiter, unreal.................... |

Posts: 101 Springfield, TN | A co-worker's cousin was missing in Tuscaloosa last night. Her house and car were literally gone. Luckily she had driven to a friend's house earlier and weathered the storm OK. With cell towers and everything wiped out it's hard to get in touch with loved ones in the area. Luckily this man's cousin was OK.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the storms. |

Posts: 447 Cleveland, GA | My wife was visiting our son and his family in Tuscaloosa. Fortunately, there was no damage to his house and no injuries to them. They did, however, spend a good while under a mattress in a hall closet. |

Posts: 444 Bay of Gigs, WA | Watching the news this morning, they had a small plane taking video of the storm paths. It looked like some one took a welding rod and just slashed across a piece of metal, wipeout in the middle, fine on either side. The vids of the storms themselves looked like studio/movie special effects. Never seen anything like it. I swear, even with nine months of steady rain up here, my house is usually still there in the morning. So this will be the last post you'll get from me bitching about the weather. Let's all just pray no visions were harmed making those videos the other night. |
