Posts: 880 Orlando, FL | I'm looking to add a switch using the top left empty switch space. Checked with the dealer and they want $40 for the switch which seems like highway robbery. Does anyone know where a substitue switch can be found?
I'd actually like 2. One a rocker switch and the other momentary on push switch.

A switch not designed for the application could fill with water and run your battery down when you least expect it. Most cheap switches will just let water in and run right through, leaving the only ill effect, corrosion. But if it lets water in and retains it, it will complete a circuit. The Victory switch is not water proof, but it is pretty much corrosion proof. |

I just took in one of the existing switches and they had one on the shelf that looks almost identical. Did this two years ago so do not have the part number but it may be worth a shot. glighto11 makes a good point about waterproof. My LED's are on switched pwer and they are fused. |

I have not personally tried them, but there are a couple of items that appear to be direct replacements in a couple of configurations. Perhaps the person who added them to the list will chime in.

Posts: 880 Orlando, FL | Thanks to all, esp Tarpits for the Vision Parts list~! I had not seen that. Also in searching the site found out that according to one user our switches are made by Otto Engineering and are the waterproof K1 switch. I'm trying to find out if they are available on a retail level. |

Same here, except I went with an extra heated grip switch so I would have the option of controlling two different circuits. $19 plus tax from the dealer. It's made by Otto and is weatherproof.
Your dealer needs to check his pricing again. Sounds like he was looking at TWO switches for $40.

| If they don't go to the computer and look you know there guessing and they would rather be hi then low. I have one dealer 4 miles away and another 34 miles away. I call the shop that is far away cause he treats me right. Not to say the other shop wouldn't. 40 bucks doesn't sound like he even knows what switches are.
