Since having my '09 Vision I have had to get the UPPER wind deflector replaced 3 times under warranty. First time due to the fact that it would NOT stay in the position I would put it in. The second time, which turns out it was less than a week from it being replaced. It flew off as I was on a ride with some friends and they all asked what I threw off my motorcycle??? Turns out it was my NEW UPPER wind deflector. The 3rd time, the attachment point where it mounts, just broke around the screw hole...

I was about to get a 4th one until I got my painted uppers from CycleOps!

Well I was riding to class Wednesday night and figured while I was riding I would check and see if the metal uppers had moved since I taped the moving part inside the fairing...I now know why all these LEFT ONLY upper deflectors are having problems...There is a VERY STRONG vibration affecting ONLY the LEFT side upper deflector. I checked the right one as I was riding and there is NO vibration at all, but the left one feels like a washing machine that is out of balance....

Does anybody know why this is occurring? I have checked the front of the fairing and there doesn't appear to be anything aerodynamically that would cause this...I would "assume" that if it is a chassis issue I would have vibration all around or on at least BOTH upper deflectors...

Has anyone else hd this problem or know why I have a hard vibration in the general area of the upper left wind deflector?

Never noticed any vibration. However, I had to take my 08 in for repair because it wouldn't stay put, but I knew the problem before I took it in. There is supposed to be a 'binding' washer in there that was left out by the factory. 10k miles since and no problem.

My left side mirror vibrates but the right side does not. Might be related?
