, IA | yes I have a super pair of waterproof boots however my everyday boots only stay dry in a rain shower not a rainstorm anyone use a pair of mototrek boot covers or a similar type item thanks |

Capitol Region of NH | I have used a rain suit type material boot cover before. Not sure what brand they are. the key I found was to put them on first or make sure they are inside of the pant to work best. I have ridden in torential rains and had very dry boots. |

Orlando, FL | My boots have usually been pretty rain proof. But my new boots are not. In a pinch I used to buy 2 loaves of bread, dump the bread and hey, you had 2 boot covers! Here's a better solution. Carry these.........

Orlando, FL | TourMaster is a great brand. But know that their covers do not have a sole. Your boot sole is exposed. So do not get off your bike and step into a puddle. Or you will be wet. I have covers with a sole for that very reason. After all, keeping my boots dry is the entire point!! |

It appears that Marshall's has a complete sole for $17-$20 bucks (I just ordered them) and Frogg Toggs (a solid brand) has an apparently heavy duty pair for $50. Enjoy the rain! I love riding in the rain as long as it's not 100 degrees outside after it stops! LOL |

Orlando, FL | That's nice Biggie, but my day to day riding boots are hot weather motorcycle boots by Sidi (I live n FL) and cannot be waterproofed. Perforated for air flow. So.......... when a summer rain storm comes the covers will be nice to have!! |

I thought he wanted them for riding not walking in puddles.
I learned how to walk around puddles a long time ago.

Iowa | I bought a pair of Gater Rain Boot protectors from J&P Cycle and they keep my dry from the knees down. They slide over the boot and wrap around your leg up over the knee. I just used them last week in a steady down pour riding over an hour in the rain. Never got the boots wet. And the Vision kept the rest of me pretty dry. |

Plus 1 on the TourMaster boot covers. This will be my 3rd season with them. Hey GUYS; Be careful with any brand that completely covers your riding boot. Even if it states custom rubber sole, once your feet hit the asphalt at stop the boot cover will move/slip. Nothing grips better then the bottom of your riding boot.

Orlando, FL | Each style cover has pro's and con's. Example 1: As Thomas noted above, sometimes the sole of your boot can slip on the sole of the cover. Example 2: Without the sole you have areas of the cover that can get caught on your bikes pegs, rear brake pedal, etc.
So know what you're getting and choose what feels best to you. This is not a contest or this one is better than that one.... nanny nanny boo boo. It's what is best for you and your riding style. My previous post about the sole or lack thereof had the intent of informing only. Being better informed allows you to make a better choice for your riding style. And imagine your disappointment and anger if you ordered covers expecting a sole only to find out there was none!!
And if you have ever ridden much in the rain there always comes a time when you have no choice but to put your foot in a puddle when you stop. Well, everyone EXCEPT Rollin' Apparently he walks his bike around puddles!
