Posts: 219 Pittsburgh, PA | After numerous questionable starts, I replaced the original battery with a new one. The last start attempt on the old battery was 4 days ago. The head light came on as did all the normal lights and fuel pump. When I hit the starter everything when dark, when I released the starter switch the lights came back on but very very dim. Today I bought and charged up the new battery. Everything is working as normal except the speedo. Any ideas? Does anyone no if an operating speedo is required for state of PA inspection? Those units are not cheap. I've looked in the past as some of my line segments in the digital display quit working a few years ago. Would appreciate any help. |

The guys at http://theVMC.com have a lot more experience on the V92C than the Vision Riders here. I want to help you but I do not know squat about that Victory motorcycle.

First, after making sure the battery is fully charged, just disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected overnight. The speedometer should work when you reconnect the fully charged battery. The other thing to check is the connector to the speed sensor. Pull it apart and spray some contact cleaner in there and reconnect.
