Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | Not having any problems with mine, but it will have to be replaced one day. Are there any higher performance shocks for the Vision out there in aftermarket land ?? |

Posts: 432 Gettysburg, 2008 Tour Premium | I talked with Progressive Suspension awhile ago and the customer sales rep said if they get enough inquiry's they would probably make a unit. I would like variable rebound damping and the abilitty to have the unit rebuilt. Most of their stuff is warrantied for life. So lets everyone call and ask if a shock is available and see what happens. |

| Victory is not on their website yet but they do Victorys. Jim Underwood/Lobsterhunter had their set up installed on his Vision.
I hear he really likes it.

| A Max McAllister from there has been posting on the VOG. Offered 25% off to the first 5 Vision that ordered the set up.
Here is some info he has put on there.
Ask for mike@traxxion.com our Sales Manager to get the discount.
Our kit ranges for Wings from 2500 to 3500 dollars. A lot of that price is based on adding rigidity to the front of the bike, like fork brace, and triple clamps. The Vision has a pretty solid clamp feel. A brace would fix everything, and clamps would not be necessary. I haven't messed with the steering bearings yet.
Our fork kit is 999.95 plus we have some rebound adjustable caps we make and I think they are $150 or so. They are part of the kit.
Depending on which set of forks you have, the seals and bushings are "normal" or "holy sh%t"! The Marzocchis are like $85 for seals and bushings... maybe that's nothing, but in the MC fork world, that's crazy!
Once we put our guts into whatever brand of fork you have, the performance result will be the same.
We can lower the bike per request. That has no additional fee.
The forks of course, won't work the same. They will be close.
There's a company that says you won't notice a difference if you use their lowering kit. That of course doesn't make sense. If you change it, it can't work the same.
If you have 5" of travel, and you ask to have your bike 1" lower, How can it possibly work the same??? You gave away 20% of your wheel travel!
So it's obvious it can't work the same. But we work to make it much better than stock, snf if you need it lowered, we can do that, and still make the bike better than stock!
But is doesn't cost $59. We realize what we sell isn't cheap.
We enocourage you to read about our products on the internet, and then decide for yourself. With a 100% money back guarantee, we feel you have nothing to lose.

| <p>Back in the day we would call Works shocks and tell them what we rode our weight and they would build us shocks. They were dead nuts on great ride from them. http://www.worksperformance.com/html/home.html</p><p>&n... did a search on the net for rebuilding motorcycle air shocks. There are all kinds of places that say they do. <br /></p>

| Hmm, I called Progressive Suspension a few months ago and they said that their 465 series rear shock would be a simple change out for the stock rear air shock. The 465 series shock is hydraulically adjustable for preload (with initial no load preload set via the threaded shock body) via a knob that could be mounted in the area where the computer diagnostics connection is located under the left saddlebag lid. It is also adjustable for rebound dampening via a setting on the side of the body but that would probably have to be set while the shock is being installed or at least when it is up on a lift. I plan on replacing my stock rear air shock with this unit when replacement becomes necessary or around 60K miles which ever comes first. |
