Posts: 1324 So Cal | Waking up to a beautiful sunny morning, and this being the last day of the work week. I decided this would be a good time to ride the e-glide to blow off the cobb webs and keep the battery charged.
Upon arrival to work, I had come to the conclusion that this vehicle was no longer the fun ride I so fondly remmembered. In fact, it was a real PITA to get to work this morning.
It was then that I realized, this THING must be banished from my garage as quickly as possible.
I cant believe I let it share the same space with my Vision.
Come monday morning the classified will hit the papers bright and early. (will be too busy riding the Vision this weekend)
I have been spoiled by the Vision and loving every second. |

Posts: 496 Scottsdale AZ | CJ - Vision minds must run together - on Tuesday I also ran out the cobwebs on my 03 and had the same experience - I actually thought I was going to deep it just for variety etc.- On Wed I told my wife I had made an executive decision, the 03 was officially for sale- I have no interest except to ride the Vision, spoiled here also. |

Posts: 150 Las Vegas, Nevada USA baby! | It's all part of the Vision Odyssey isn't it. Not just a ride, not just a journey, it is an odyssey, reaping it's own rewards. We pilot our Vision thru the annals of time. We see and experience instances within those warps and folds of time that others would surely marvel at, as we already do. We are VISION PILOTS.
The Laughlin run is this weekend, yet my desire to attend is slack. Instead, I should be piloting to points that few ever travel...
blah, blah bla, lah dee doo dah day, Gotta Go!

| The vision will spoil you......... Harley should be ashamed of themselfs..multi million dollar R&D center , yet they wont update the fairing or frame of the FLH series....They keep pushing that nostaglia crap..Every feature thats standard on the premium Vision has to be bought from Harleys Catalog for your HD...its sick. Harley Davidson was caught with thier pants down this time..and I know there are a couple of Visions in that Willie G R&D center torn apart and being examined closely.....VERY CLOSELY |

Every ride just gets better! Now with the sound of muscle, Added the Ness exhaust last weekend. Sounds like thunder rolling down the road and rumbles like a V-8 at an idle.
I am a Vision Pilot... I am a Vision Pilot...
Well, See ya great weather outside can't waste it, gotta go for a ride.

The reason I looked at the Vision was because the 2008 HD's looked just like my 2002. Why shell out 25k for something that looks the same? And then start all over personalizing it. Thanks to HD's lack of Vision (pun intented) I now have a supirior bike. The lack of Victory accessories dosent bother me that much, just saves me money. After being conditioned to spend, spend, spend by HD its hard to break the habit. |

Posts: 82 Northwest of you | Cjnoho, I understand about your habit and as a dedicated Vision Cult Brother, I want to help you. I know what it is like envisioning the bike with the new mods on it. Eagerly watching for the UPS truck, setting aside time to put things on and take things off............. So, let me send you my Paypal account number and everytime you send me some money, I will send you a box with some little thing you can put on you bike, so that you don't have to "cold turkey" it. I had all kinds of plans to "trick out" my Vision too, but, the longer I have had it, the more I like it how it is. I had consulted a painter to do the trim Midnight Cherry, then I thought to do the chrome pieces and now I've decided I like it "just the way it is" and yes it saves "lots" of money. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I rode with a Harley yesterday, actually several of them, but the one I'm referring to said that H-D now makes a seat and I believe a mod that will bring the rider down lower and more comfortable, that he had on the bike now. He says he now enjoys his harley more since it is more comfortable and it handles better with the lower center of gravity. Hmmmmm, is someone finally catching on? Go Va va va VISION! |

No matter what he does to that Harley it won’t handle like the Vision and he won’t be able to come close to hanging with the Vision in the twisties and the gap in comfort is even greater. |

There was the day when there where wanna be Harleys, now there is the day when Harley's are wanna be Victory's or specifically wanna be Visions! The Vision, not an imitation, but innovation! |

Posts: 849 , FL United States | Spoiled? You bet! I went for a 200 mile ride yesterday in New Mexico. Left my campsite in Truth or Consequences & just rode. No particular destination - just rode! Yes the crosswinds out here are UNBELIEVABLE BUT Vis handled them pretty well. Had a couple of real hard side pushes that really raised the "pucker factor". It's 46 degrees today & so windy I'm not about to go out (gusts to 40 mph)

Posts: 332 Dale, Indiana | Rode a goldwing the other day.
No leg room, shifter and brakes are under me like a crotch rocket, got the feeling the dash was going to hit me.
Wide seat isn't too cool.
Just an awkward bike.
How do people ride those things?
Guess I am spoiled.

Guess I am spoiled. I rode a GoldWing for 2 years wishing it rode like the Vision rode. Of course 2 years ago we had no Vision, but it was an easy pick from the first read of this mysterious bike. There was no turning back, or desire to do so! |

I know exactly what you mean about the accessories, and I came from riding an '03 GL1800 Goldwing. |

Posts: 150 Las Vegas, Nevada USA baby! | I was doing the "what should I do to improve my ride?" thinking with my '07 Nomad. Different seat? Should I lower it? Get a fairing? Etc.
SInce I got the Vision Tour Premium, all I think about is the length of the trip as it pertains to...
Trunk on? Trunk off? Trunk on? Trunk off?
Everything else is great.
Rated G. G. = Gotta Go

Posts: 238 SF Bay Area | Different strokes for different folks... I have also ridden a GL1800, and prefer the comfort, balance and soul of the Vision.
BTW, when they close the Marysville Honda plant, them '09 GL2000's will no longer be American made (assembled?) bikes.
Don't get me wrong... it's not that I would never buy a GoldWing. If I became disabled to the point I couldn't ride a bike, I would build a Lehman trike or build a Champion sidecar rig powered by a GL, just to get a reverse gear and still be able to ride. |
