Well, today I was stranded for about an hour and a half after having the rear tire going flat. I don't know what I ran over, but it put a fairly large puncture right in the middle of the tire. I was traveling about 60 miles per hour when it happened. I was about 50 miles from Strokers Dallas, which is the nearest dealer to me. They came to the rescue and gave me a ride home and took my bike back to their shop. My question is, has anyone paid to have the rear tire changed yet. What should I expect to pay?

Cost me about 360 bux. I found a nail with my rear tire at 2500 miles. I am gonna plug it and use it when the NEW one on there wears out!-----Metalguy

I have run a few with the rope style plug with no problem. Ran all another 6-7k. Took one to 105mph for about an hour okay. A do it your self though, no shop will take liability.

Northwest of you

NAPA has a "Radial Plug Kit" for about $8 with 5 plugs in it.

If you follow the directions, it takes about 10 minutes (15 if you really take your time and read the directions over and over) to do the repair.

I picked up a roofing nail in my Jackpot at 1000 miles and just couldn't stand the thought of "wasteing" that tire.

It now has 5000 miles on it, headed for another 5000 and has not lost 1 pound of air and I too have run with it over 100 mph, several times.

No shop will plug your tire............liability issues..........

I have a plug kit and thought of going that direction, but this hole looks as though it was made by a half inch piece of rebar. I wouldn't feel safe using a plug. Plus it looked like it would of taken 2 plugs to fill. I'll just bite the bullet and go the safe route and purchase an new tire.
Thanks for the feedback.

I was at Strokers getting the firmware for the audio system on the Vision updated to 4.13A from 4.11 mostly to fix the CB transmit issue when they brought your bike in. The driver that brought your bike in came over to me in the shop while I was standing by my Vision and said I just brought a Vision like yours in with a flat tire and these are the coolest bikes. He said you could not say enough good things about the Vision and he was impressed with that. Owning a Vision will make you an evangelist.

I have not had to replace the tire on my Vision yet so I am not sure how much it will cost but you are in good hands with Strokers. I have 4,700 miles on my Vision and only 4-32nds out of 9-32nds of tread left so this tire will only last me about 7 to 8,000 miles. Most of these miles have been highway miles at 85 to 110 mph and lots of heavy cornering in twisties and sweepers which will wear these tires a lot faster. If I rode more conservative I would expect to get about 12,000 miles on the rear tire if I don’t pick up something that damages it.

Let’s hook up and ride somewhere. I will slow down for you.

I don't remember the exact numbers but this is close from FRS Powersports in Memphis. Front Tire - 178.15 + 35 install, Back tire - 215-230 + 55 install. I think that is close. How come the car tires include free install and balance and don't forget rotation.

I could see where front tire install might be included, but on the Vision, it looks like there's quite a bit of work to get the rear wheel off/on...

I was in Farmersville when it happened. I live in Rockwall. It took Strokers about an hour to get there. I thought that was a pretty good response time considering I was about 55 miles away from the dealer. I sat in a Brookshires parking lot waiting for them to show. Must of had 30 bikes go by on Hwy 380 most who waved as they were driving by. Actually had someone stop and ask if I needed help. Thought that was nice. Don't see much of that anymore. Anyway, I asked Strokers to do the firmware upgrade for the ipod and also take care of the stalling issue which I received a recall notice on. I have never been to Stokers, but I am impressed already with the customer service and how nice everyone has been on the phone. I bought the bike at Victory of Arlingtron about 6 or 7 weeks ago. When I got my recall notice I called them to schedule an appointment only to find they had sold all their stock to Ironhorse of Ft. Worth and had shut the doors. I got on the Victory website to find another dealer and found out Strokers had started carrying the line. Which is OK by me, their even closer to where I live. The driver and I did talk bikes on my way home and I did mention this was the best bike I have owned. I traded in my 05 Victory Hammer for this one. I have owned 9 different bkes and this makes my 10th. And this one will probably be my last. I plan on keeping this one until I am to old or to weak to ride.
