| New here thought I would say hello
Own a 08 stock tour premium bought new in 08 after seeing it in a trade magazine never had a bike so BIG before previous bike was back in teh UK and was a basket case Honda CX 500 that came in 3 boxes and didnt have a wiring loom ( I was dumb and daft )
bought a Yamaha 650 custom as a first US bike
well long story short
the Vision now has 21600 miles on it
and I now work at teh dealers where I bought it
have bought some red led's and chrome led holders for when I can get two of the dimpled wedges so I can light it up via the spare switch holder on teh dash
my other planned mod is to carbon fiber the seat my question is does anyone know if there is a seat patter template kicking about anywhere ?
and where is theer anywehere to get the dimpled wedges cheap ? as im sure ill screw it up on teh first attempt I can get them from work at "just" over cost but would rather " practice " on sacrifisial parts to perfect it before starting in on the bikes ones if that makes sence
anyway just wanted to say hello basically love the site logo ( but they need one with a top box hint hint )

Posts: 3204 Memphis | Vulcans definitely made an impression. I got to see a pair of them up close when they came through NAS Norfolk, VA in 1982. They were on their way to the Falklands. My Dad flew Lightnings with the RAF as an exchange pilot in the mid '60s at Lakenheath. Now that was a loud airplane! Here is one of my favorite YouTube videos of a British reporter and a Spitfire. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvDDDKnNhuE Love the Brits! |

I have to wonder why you want a carbon fiber seat pan? What would be the befit to you? What is wrong with your seat?
Why not find some one that could make you a seat pan and then use your seat. |

| Yes, wouldn't a carbon fiber seat make to slip and slide around? Or are you looking for fabric that looks like carbon fiber to match some carbon fiber work you already have done? Pete and a few others have put carbon fiber on their center console.
Don't know where to get cheap wedges. Maybe look in an auto parts section or store for similar piece and thickness? |
