Posts: 732 Western WA | I've been running the Kuryakyn unit for a couple of years without a problem.
Suddenly, when I try to use the turn signals on the trunk, both flash - one definitely brighter than the other but that kind of defeats the purpose. The turn signal on the lower 'v' is fine and blinks the way it should. Brake lights are fine on the lower lights, but the trunk lights no longer flash like they did.
I pulled the seat, checked and re-seated all the wires and it worked for a couple of minutes - then back to the same thing.
If I pull it off the stock lights are fine.
I'm really, really not electrically talented. Let me stress the 'really' part. But I'm thinking at this point it has to be the module itself.
Thoughts? |

See if the seat is pulling on a wire.

On 'accessory', the trunk lights both flash with the turn signal - although one is brighter - and the brake lights weird out.
Anyone else have this happen? Or have you even tested for it? |

Posts: 447 Cleveland, GA | I installed sequential turn signals on the rear of mine and they need a certain amount of power to run correctly. When the bike isn't running, one side will work, but the other sometimes won't. Crank it up and it does fine after a few seconds. Gary Lighton, who developed the sequential turn signal harness, said that is normal for it.
Maybe your issue is related and it has something to do with resistance? |

That happens with mine as well....I guess that there is a ground difference when on ACC vs. ON. |

Posts: 732 Western WA | I think that's exactly what's happening RT. Although, from the following conversation, I see it really isn't a problem.
Me: "Well, it works as long as the key is 'on' and the bike is running."
Wife: "So there isn't a problem?"
Me: "Well, only when the key is on 'accessory'. Then the lights go all funky."
Pause
Wife: "So you plan on driving down the road with the bike off and the key in the 'accessory' position often?"
Me: "Yes. Yes I do."
Then she just kind of shook her head and went back in the house.
Sheesh. Women. |

| With the key ON, mine work fine! With the key in ACC. position my lights get weird too! Had the dealer check it when I discovered it couple if years back, no problem in ON position. Been fine with no complaints from me or folks behind me! |
