| quick question.... I have now seen 2-3 pictures of bikes with the seat off on this forum and their area under the seat is spotless!...mine...not so much. It is a road grime, dusty, greasy mess. How do you guys keep this area clean? is it safe to spray it down? anything need to be covered up from water? seems like everything under there (ECM, Trunk fittings, etc) all have waterproof connections, just wanted to make sure how you all are doing it. Thanks |

| I would be very scared to spray water around my ECM if it shorts out I'm sure its big bucks. Maybe a dam rag would be better. Where the shock pivot hole is you could cover with duck tape to help keep the dust out.
But all in all I think your just going to have to do what you feel is best for you. |

Posts: 492 Indianapolis, IN | Any time I have the seat off I give it a thorough wipe down with a cloth soaked with very hot water. In my case it is just dry dust, brake dust, road dust, etc. Comes off with water. |
