Posts: 59 Austin Texas Yaaaalll | Hello all. I am going to purchase a 2011 Vision today. I have been working with the dealer on the options and I want to move my Zumo 550 from my BMW to the Vision. I asked the dealer to call Victory up and see if the sold a integration cable for the 550, they said no, as they only have an option for the 660 unit. My question is this:
1.) Is anybody running the Zumo 550 integrated into the Vision stereo. How did you do it.
2.) Can you utilize the XM radio that comes with Zumo and pipe it into the stereo.
Thanks for help in advance. |

Posts: 492 Indianapolis, IN | Congrats and welcome! Both the 550 and 660 are regularly used on the vision. I believe the 550 has bluetooth that can be played into a bluetooth helmet and is XM compatible according to their web site. The 660 fully integrates with the victory supplied harness and mount. I don't think the 660 has the XM option. The 665 also integrates with the vic harness but in order for the XM to be functional you have to do some creative wiring. Do a search and there are a couple threads describing a 665 installation. Good luck and enjoy!! |

| Tons of stuff here on how to mount it and hard wire it - too many to list. Use the search feature and you will find most of what you are looking for with one exception.
You can also get an iPod connector and an Anycom Fipo bluetooth adaptor, and it will turn the iPod connector into a bluetooth reciever. What ever is sent through bluetooth will be picked up by the radio when switched to AUX.
In the picture I was thinking about mounting it under the access panel, but I havent come up with a solution to make it water proof. So the best place to put it would be the glove box.
This is how I can run My DroidX without any wires into the radio.
Do a search on the internet for the Fipo and you will find them for about $30.

Posts: 59 Austin Texas Yaaaalll | Thank you all for the response. I have gained quite a lot of information through this board about the Vision that helped with my purchase. I decided to go ahead and purchase the 660 with bike and also get the satellite radio separately that victory sells. I am excited about picking my bike up next week. I live in Austin, TX but bought the bike in McAlester,OK. There is a wonderful little shop there that worked hard with me to get the price I wanted. They had the color I wanted (Red/Black), no charge for prep or freight. They called me and said that the Victory Truck was there and I could get a $1000.00 off my already low price. So I made the 700 mile round trip in one day, test rode the bike and made the decision to buy.

You'll quickly find out that POPLARIS doesn't believe 'your hands go here, and here only, your feet go only here, and you sit exactly here, und donot ask for any changes-we know what you need-' And you can stop dressing like you're running the Dakar. Which seems to be a trend (or a mandate) with the Bring Money With you riders. |

Posts: 59 Austin Texas Yaaaalll | LOL.... I know what you mean. After 12 years on BMW's and many miles (200,000+ I have nothing bad to say about them. Not one of the BMW bikes I have ever owned left me stranded in the middle of the night alongside the road. I am just ready for a change. For the last year my right hand and arm have been falling asleep after 30 minutes. I want to kick back and lets say enjoy a more relaxed ride. I believe from what I have read here and other sources that the Victory is a very dependable bike and thats what I am looking for. |
