Posts: 554 2 mi from Jim Beam n KY | Had shoulder surgery this morning. Fortunately no tendons, just some bone work. No riding for two weeks. Despite the heat, it will be two long weeks. 113 on the dash yesterday. Thats really hot for Louisville, Ky.
I left work, rode 1.5 miles to dealer. I shutdown the bike and immediately took the photo.

All I can do is sit out in the garage and watch the dust collect on the big red scooter. Like Liandra it will probably be November for me as well. It's KILLIN ME!!!!!!!! |

I blew my left ACL about 10 years ago, & had reconstructive surgery and it still hurts (also developed atrhritus in it) and have somewhat restricted mobility, sometimes it's all I can muster to throw a leg over the bike to get on when I really don't trust the repaired knee to support me. You'll get used to walking like Grandpa McCoy, I keep a folding aluminum cane in the right bag (there are times when I really need it!) and have a disabled 'skinny guy' placard that I can velcro to the dash. People look @ me wierd when I roll the bike into a blue parking spot, I just tell anyone who asks 'hey! I can still ride, I jut can't walk'. It's not high on the fun meter scale. but at least we can keep moving! |
