Posts: 388 Salisbury, NC | Since I can't reduce my photos enough to put them in the gallery, I'm adding a link to my online albums: http://ImageEvent.com/etspastimes/visionphotos You may have to copy & paste in a new window. While you are there, you can use the little box at the top of the screen to view other albums that I have. There are pictures from a couple of years of bike weeks, smoke outs and stuff from work. If you have a problem seeing a lot of skin, you may only want to look at photos in the above album. ET |

Can you tell me about the luggage rack you have on the trunk?

Posts: 388 Salisbury, NC | Why sure, it is a Kuryakyn rack made for a Gold Wing. Place it on the trunk lid, mark where you want to drill the holes. Take the liner out of the top, drill your holes. Then run your leg bolts through the holes. Tighten the nuts, use a touch of locktite. Replace the liner and you are ready to ride. Took about 20 minutes. I think I paid $160 for it. A lot cheaper than the Victory rack. ET |

| Et is the heel toe shift from Kuryakyn too or where did you get it. I have had heel toe shifters on my bikes since 1997 and deeply miss it on my vision. |

Posts: 388 Salisbury, NC | The heel/toe shifter is made for the Kingpin. Remove the floorboard. Undo the bolt holding the shifter in place. Take off the old shifter. When you install the heel/toe shifter, you have to move the shifter forward one slot on the arm so it will have clearance when you move it back to the last hole on the adjustment slot. You will also have to shorten the shifter rod a 1/4" on each end so you can adjust it to clear the floorboard when you put that back on. I did this last Monday,it took about 30 minutes. I try to wear boots when I ride and I can still pick up a shift with my toe, but I like the heel shifting better. You also don't have to pick up your foot as far to downshift. Hope this helps. ET |

| I like a heel shifter. I want one that reaches past the floorboard so I can use the whole floorboard for my foot. My concern is if it would interfere with my leg when I put my feet down for a stop or trying to find the hidden kickstand? |

Posts: 175 Colorado | etspastimes )Eddie) concerning the Goldwing rack, what did you do to make it water tight and seal the lid from the penetration? When closing the lid is it stressing the deck lid or did you place a plate to reinforce the lid and distribute the load? Simply interested.....
Looks great!...

Posts: 388 Salisbury, NC | The legs where the bolts go through the lid have rubber seals around them. The only stress on the lid is when I strap a 30 lb bag to it. It says max weight is 20 lbs. ET
