Has anyone had any issues with there seat coming apart at the seam? Coming apart right at the stitching.

Mine started to tear about a quarter inch off the seam. Wrecked the bike before I had to worry about it.

I read here a good year ago where the stitching started to tear a part. As I recall he lived in Az and thought the sun had dried the threads out.
Of coarse he siad his fat ass didn't help any.

I live in Minnesota and only have 30,000 miles on the bike, a seat should last a hell of a lot longer than that.

MIne ripped and i took it to an upholsterer, who actually removed the old pleather, and upgraded it to high quality marine grade pleather and used the same type stitching.

Sun, weather extremes and chemicals all will deteriorate stitching, leather, and man-made materials.

Nothing lasts forever.
