For anyone who has previously attended the AVR where is the best and most economical hotel to stay at?

I called the Super 8 (far from being a Hilton mind you) in Lake Okoboji and they wanted $189 per night plus taxes and fees with no discounts for either AAA or Government (my wife works for USDA).  There has to be someplace nearby that is cheaper, like around $100 or less a night..............

Iowa		Try Spencer. It's about 10-15 minutes south on 71. 4 lane road. I'm at the Super8 there for $70.00 a night.
