Posts: 34 Robins AFB, GA | This is what the Polaris website says about the speakers on a 2012 Ness Vision: "Acoustically precise and top of the line, these are the speakers the open road deserves. We suspect the audio waves that emanate from them look like flame exhaust."
Looks of the audio waves aside, are the Ness' speakers actually an upgrade from my stock 2011 Vision's speakers, and if so are they worth the $$ to upgrade? I did notice that mine are OK under 60 MPH but above that, they're barely worth listening to. |

Hawg Wired just makes motorcycle amps and speakers for Harleys and Visions. Small NorCal business.
Great guys, service and support.
Pricey, but definately worth the $600 if you want the best. I had on my Ultra, now on my 08 Vision and putting on my 2012..
Just my 2 cents. Call them up and talk to them about why its so bad ass and they will give you all the data to support their product. True electronics engineers, riders, and Born in the USA. |

Posts: 669 Peachtree City, GA | The 12 Ness bike has the optional Kicker speakers installed in them from what I understand. Victory has these speakers listed as accessories for 2012...
I have a set in my wife's Vision and they are a direct drop in replacement. The sound good - better bass and cleaner highs. Volume is not really any louder... And at 70 and above the are just as hard to hear as the stock ones.
On my bike I have the Alpine KTP-445 amp and Infinity speakers. Personally I think my set up sounds just a tad better then hers... just a hair louder on the freeways... I was running Polk Audio DXi525 before the Infinity's and they sound MUCH better (deeper bass and really clean highs) but were not as loud as the Infinity's....
Next plan.... I have a Rockford Fosgate amp I installing and going back the to Polks... I am thinking going from 45w to 75w will make a difference...
Of course half the fun is experimenting...

FYI... HMD (from the VMC) is a vendor that sells their setup as well. He may be able to answer these questions. |
