So Cal | Time is the biggest problem The trip it self is no big deal, the time after to gather yourself is the hardest part. Did 750 in one day still 150 mi. from home. The thought of sleeping im my own bed that night is what kept me going. Plus it gave me a day to f#@k off. Needless to say it wasnt on a Vision. I may have passed up home. |

New Bohemia, VA | Argh! I did the Saddle Sore 1,000 and the Bun Burner 1,500 last September but have yet sent in my paperwork. I did 1,000+ in 19 hours and then continued to complete the 1,500 in 34 hours. I did it on an '84 Honda Goldwing GL1200 on my way to see my son in South Texas. I know I did it, I just don't have the paper work to prove. I guess I need to get off my Vision for a while and get 'er done! |

29 Palms California | I'm shooting for leather sac! I go on mids next week, and what ever the next level of insanity is, I shall attain it then. I would like to thank all the little people that helped me attain iron butt, over five months ago. First off, I'd like to thank my father for not shooting me against the wall. My mother, (God rest her soul) for allowing my father to jump her bones. OK...eeewwwwww. My Marine Corps recruiter for promissing me I'd be an air traffic controller, then putting me in Artillery. My wife, for not killing me in my sleep like the night terrors tell me she will. My youngest daughter (14yrs) for being potty trained at 2yrs old. The people that live inside my motorcycle helmet (they only talk to me while I ride) for telling me it's ok to flip off that woman this morning who cut me off on my way into work. They're also great backup singers for george thurogood while i'm listening to my mp3 player. to Victory, for allowing me to vent by riding on the open road on such a bad ass bike. Finally, to my best friend, Mr Bud Wiser, for showing me it's alright to consume mass quantities, with cowboy boots, tassles, and assless chaps on while low crawling thru my back yard. |

29 Palms California | Damn my eyes! I'm scarred for life, and will have to drink till I can't see anymore! For some reason, the villiage peoples YMCA is running thru my head....make it stop! AHHHHH. That's it, you've involved the people who live in my helmet. They are calling me...buckeye,buckeye...why did you look..why did you look? POP....ah, visions of playboy centerfolds. Pop, the white socks, the pink hat, nooahhh. POP, Bud girls....yummy. I'm good. FIRE MISSION, SHELL HE, FUZE TIME....no, no everyone stand back, this guy is going to.....(meanwhile, back at the ranch, our hero Buckeye, gives his last brief of the day, turns over the radars, and heads to his Vision for a much need ride home for the weekend. Pulling the oversized key from his pocket, he scans for possible threats, and beats a hasty path for the bat cave. ROCKETS ENGAGE! WEEK END ....GOOOOOOOOOOooooooo) the dust still fills the air, and his swivvle seat still spins in the space where the Buckeye once worked, only seconds ago. |
