First thing was new back tire. Yup went to the dark side. Its not bad at toll. Go into corners and lean like always. We have a road here that semi gravel trucks run all day long. I'll guess you see one every fifteen minuets. The bike runs down the road just fine with a occasional wiggle here and there but if you just go with flow all is fine. More effort in steering in the clover leafs.
Second I cut my left hand panel to let more air go pass the oil cooler. That was a long day getting the panel out and the cutting was simple. Third I bought some 3M paint protector http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPUSZ8mmGpQ I did this cause a friend has a harley trike and had it put on the front of the rear fenders. I saw the protector work when a rock hit the fender and didn't damage the paint just the protector film. So I did the tip of the front fender and the paint just in front of the shifter peg and brake peg. I have caught my feet sliding up on the paint and not wanting scratch I though good place. Now the big one I did the headlight. Its not hard to do this protector film just have to work at it and I used a new new credit card with clean edges. I learned make a templet with some paper before cutting the film. On the gray vision you can't hardly see it.
Fourth I found what looks like good match gray paint. I painted the grab handles and that lower panel under and round the bottom of the tail light. Next will be the tip over protectors. Guess I will pull the side panel and the heat shields and cover every thing even the garage floor. Fifth I ordered a 7 jurock gray windshield. Nice guys one problem it will take a week to get here. It sounds like they have to make it. |
