Rhode Island | Has anyone had a problem with the hydraulic chain tensioner causing a loud noise on cold startup? Did it work itself out or did you have to change it?

Pittsburgh, PA | i cant say it is the same thing. but i noticed on my 2011 that on the first startup of the day it is noiser than average. My 08 i dont remember being that noisey. its hard to tell. I wont know for sure until i get some miles on the 11 and them put in the oil i am used to running (amsoil) |

| From what I under stand the chain tensioner will loose oil from sitting. They will pump up when the motor starts up. If you still have warranty you could try and get your dealer to clean them or even replace them. |

Loud noise on start up due to chain tensioner
