| I am told, and I think the owners manual says somewhere, there is a built in connection to plug in directly a battery tender without having to fiddle with with spring clamps etc. to use charger..I had one under the side cover of my 08 Kingpin and worked great...Anyone know where the thing is,if one, on the Vision cause I cannot seem to find the thing.....Thanks...

BTW: You will need to buy a BMW connector adapter. I got mine at the Victory dealer. |

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | When I bought my first 2008 VV brand new the pigtail was still in the plastic in the saddlebag with the manual and tool kit. It is up to the dealer to put in on when they prep the bike. It's only a foot long, so if it was put on it will be real close to the battery, most likely tucked under the plastic belly pan. |

|
First you have to look at your battery and see if there is a extra black wire on the positive side.

I found mine on the left side under the side cover by the oil cooler close to the shifter.

Posts: 785 Mt. Vernon, WASH. | The pigtail on mine comes out under the shifter lever on the very lower left side and can be pulled out an amazing nearly 3 inches (WOOOO...OOOO) to make the connection with the Battery Tender, it's one of my primary gripes-Before anything of a routine nature gets approved for productiion the factory should have a fat old guy with an arthritic back (like me) see if it's feasable to be done without a harness and hoist, and I've checked there isn't much opportunity to re-route it either as the front downpipe is RIGHT THERE as s the oil cooler, how about they simply spend another 27 cents and purchase longer cables that can be routed to another spot on the bike?? Sorry, There I go thinking logically again, I hate it when my brain kicks in on a project. I'l go stand in the corner now |

Posts: 492 Indianapolis, IN | If you have a rear trunk, the plug inside can be used as a battery tender connection. That plug is live all the time. Of course you will need a converter to make that connection. If I'm thinking right the battery tenders usually come with one of the cigarette plug adapters. |

| I have an 2011 Vision and assume it is basically the same wiring as all models?? I did not see a wire for the 2-pin connector, but it may be there I just don't see it yet..As said above it is not easy for an old fart like me to get down on floor and look..I am going to dealer tomorrow and let tech show me where it is..In the meantime, I did find a cigarette type plug in rear of the trunk and looks easy to use with right connectors...Some of you have said I can buy an adapter, my tender does not have one as I just checked, and use this outlet to run battery tender...Is this accurate info??? If so it looks a whole lot easier than lying on floor trying to hook up the thing..I have a Battery Tender Jr. which worked great on my Kingpin....Thanks again... |
