Just installed one, took all of 30 minutes. I don't hear much intake noise, certainly not what I thought it would be. Bike has more power though.

On my 08 I had alot of intake noise! So bad that if people who didn't own a vision with this plate heard it they thought something was wrong with my bike. (At start up) right now I have a 2011 vision that is bone stock and I'm not sure if i will reinstall the intake plate , as I am enjoying a quiet ride.. and a much better radio!

I can barely hear it and my radio's been amped and Polk speakers installed so it's nothing I can't live with.

With all the wind rushing by your ears a little thing like Llodyz plate would be no big deal I know I don't hear mine

The Ness top filter is an actual filter and muffles the sound. The only time I can hear it is when its idling and then I have to listen for it.

I can't hear Lloydz except at idle and the increase in midrange and top end is nice. I want to get the cams but Lloyd doesn't recommend anyone in my area. Good reason to go to the AVR next year.

at idle is when it is the worst. and thats when people have made a comment about "whats that noise? Is that normal?" Not a big deal. but is kinda makes the bike sound Not mechanically sound. you can hear ticking and other sounds... you DO get extra power. its just at idle expect Unusual Under Dash/radio noises.

i will at some point Reinstall mine, along with my s1l1 and PCV.. but right now im enjoy NO popping! and NO abnormal noises and behavior. I did like the extra power ofmy older setup with the mufflers and power commander and dual intakes, but honestly i rarely used the extra power. i mean it wasnt like i was racing anyone or doing 1/4 mile runs.

I'm trying to decide which fuel controller to use.

both the vfc and pvc are great. i have a power commander 5 . i got it on a Mismatched price on ebay. the guy accidentlly under priced it by $120 so i jumped on it! and shortly after he found his mistake and bumped up the price to whats normal.. LOL

the power commander 5 ALSO allows you to add devices to it, like a AUTO TUNE among others. last night i took my power commander from my tool box (removed it when i traded in the 08 vision-now have a 11) i was toying with the idea of installing the PCV on my bone stock 2011. and what was cool is,. i was able to take the device without it being plugged in to my vision and link it to my laptop and upload a new map just for stock visions. took less than a Minute to do it all. The power commander device is a pretty Smart fuel controller.

Thats seems to be what many people are saying. Not a cheap upgrade though lol. But I do like the auto tune option. I'll have to think about it. Btw, does power commander list the 08 vision?

the power commander is NOT listed for the 2008.. but the power commander i took off my last vision WAS a 2008. so i know for a fact it worked on it.. nothing was changed from 08 to 09 where it wouldnt of worked. its just power commander made the pvc in 09 and only tested it on 09 models.

I'm curious, does the rev extender on the PC5 actually work?

Yes it does. But the speed limited is not affected.

I assume you mean top speed. What is the speed limiter set at on a vision anyway?

It's a function of the stock ECU, and is controlled by engine RPM and the gear you're in. 5500 RPM is allowed in 5TH gear and limits the speed to 122MPH. 4550 RPM is allowed in 6TH gear and limits the speed to 120 MPH.

Lloydz rev-extend ECU lets you run to 6400 RPM in every gear, and has better fuel and timing maps than the stock ECU does.

Yes, I mean the top speed limiter. From what I have read, both 5th and 6th gears have RPM limits put on them (effectively limiting the top speed.) I have also read about a inexpensive mod that fools the ECU into thinking the trans is in 4th gear. 4th gear does not have a rpm limit on it so you can go as fast you want. Before doing anything like that, you should note that our tires are only rated for 130 MPH

With the PCV, this bike has hit 128 MPH on the GPS. I think the norm is 120 MPH. Lloydz can flash your ECU to remove the top speed limit. I believe the flash has other benefits but I am not sure what they are.

I thought that even with the PC-V's rev xtend feature, that the ECU still is able to somehow limit the top speed. Is this not the case?
