| I know a lot of people here have the same problem as I have. The left side rear hard bag not aligning correctly. Has anyone been able to solve the problem themselves without taking it to the dealer. Last time my bike was in the shop they totally ignored the issue when I brought it up. I wish Motorcycle shops would put into place a program where one on one communications would take place between the customer and one mechanic and or service person and then follow through to make sure all items are addressed. My bike was in the shop recently for a flat. Everytime time I called to check on the progress a different person answered the phone and I had to explain to someone different each time.
I asked three different people to make sure the ipod re-flash would be taken care of and that the recall notice I recieved would also be addressed. I also asked about the hard bag alignment issue.
Now this shop has just started carrying the Victory Brand and they usaully deal with choppers and customs. I got the feeling that no one there really cared about this production bike. I know for a fact the bag alignment issue was not taken care of and I am not sure the recall or ipod issue was. There is nowhere on the invoice that reflects these items being done. Just the charge for the towing, tire and labor for mounting the tire. When I went to pick up the bike no one offered any information on what was done. When I showed up to pick up my bike I asked at the front counter where was the service dept. I was told to go around the side of the building in the back. When I got back there I was instructed to go back to the front counter and pay. So I walked back to the front and payed. When I walked back to the shop I was told to go get my bike in the wash bay. What a way to run a business. No one explained sh#t as far as what work was done or what they had found out about the bag issue from Victory. I like my bike, but Victory needs to instill some kind of ISO 9000 quality control with their own customer service and their dealers. Seriously I have contacted Victory by email and never received a response. I would have someone fired if this is the way my employees serviced my customers. I would rather fix it myself than take it back. If anyone has instruction on how to do the fix I would appreciate the help. |

| Spent a hour trying to re-align the bag this morning. It looks like the door is warped. Everything else looks fine. I am going to try and contact Victory again. |

| Thats the way the bike came from the factory. Just what you see. The right side was perfect and the left side is what you see. |

Wow, looking at the pictures you posted is like looking at my own Vision, my left and right saddlebags look exactly the same with regards to the gaps. My dealer told me that all would addressed at the 3000 mile service. |

| I completely agree with you Banjo. I have several alignment issues on my bike. How can you ship a bike when the right side bag is pressed into the riders seat, and the left side has over a quarter inch gap between the top of the bag and the seat? I wonder what the people on the assembly line think.
Like I said in earlier, I am actually seeing some damage trying to shut the bags.
Does anyone have a split down the center of the bag. This would be inside and on the bottom. It looks like epoxy was used to glue two haves together. I'm wondering if this was how they were put together, or if I have a cracked bag. |

| Glad to know I am not the only one . I thought maybe I was just being too picky , but 21,500 for this is ridiculous. I if I bought a car and the doors did not line up it would be fixed. The profit on motorcycles is huge. I know the automotive companies have a much smaller profit margin and they stand behind thier product for 3 years or 36,000 miles as a minimum, some much longer. And, we all know there are many more parts on a car costing 21,500. than there is on a motorcycle. Victory will end up like many other American motorcycle companies,(out of business) if they don't step up and acknowledge these problems and take the initiative to correct them. |

Posts: 9 Leander, TX | My right side bag was also pressing into the seat, and the dealer "adjusted" it by loosening the latch so that it is out a little bit - but they say it is still weather tight - I am skeptical. Left side is dandy. |
