| I just had A.Ness hooker exhaust installed and they sound great. Crisp with a deep tone(sounds like wine tasting). I loved the bike before, now I get wood riding it. I also had the tailgunner tips added. Its not to bad at cruise speed either. |

Thanks. Just curious. I am still on the fence with the Vision. If I buy one, it probably will be '09 before I do. Just keeping up with what accessories will be must haves... |

Did you mean "Big Honkers" exhaust?
I installed a set today, and concur that they sound awesome. The only bummer was that they took 2 of us all day to install. We started at 11:30am, and finished at 6:30pm. Some of my problems... the stock R pipe was frozen onto the header, it took 3 hours to remove it using heat, penetrating oil, various hammer, mallets, drifts. The top threaded bushing on the R tip spun (they used 242 on the threads), I had to grind the bolt head off in order to remove it from the stock muffler. I used a small die grinder to remove the guts from the stock tip... leaving a huge black hole... looks wicked. The R Ness pipe had the rearmost mounting bolt hole way out of alignment, that took another 30 minutes to get that bolt in. I will eventually have to remove the tips and shim them, the gaps are huge between the outer shield and the tip.
Worth it though... :^) Maybe now cagers will stop merging into my lane without first looking in the mirrors. |

Mike, I feel your pain on the spinning bushing. I had 2 on the same tip! I didn't need the tips, needed the bolts for the new ones. Had to hunt thru my 6mm bolt supply. How did you retighten the bushing so you could reinstall the tips?
Any chance for pics of the "Black Hole"? I might change my mind and go this route.
