Posts: 494 Akron Ohio area | One of the items on my "bucket list" was to ride in all 48 contiguous States in the same year on the same motorcycle. I now have completed that task. I started with a trip to Key West, then a trip to Nova Scotia, and just finished a 7,600 mile 12 day trip that covered the 28 remaining States I needed. My 2011 Vision now has 22,232 miles on her and she is only 9 months old. The only problems I have had with her is she lost one headlight somewhere in Oklahoma (high and low beem), and there is some kind of intermittent ABS glitch going on. She seems to purr like as contented cat at 80 MPH. |

Posts: 1359 New Bohemia, Va | great job bigfoot!!! I need to start a bucket list, but when I do make a list it seems I never accomplish anything. When I let "come what may" I do some pretty interesting things. What a trip! |

I wish I could do that.
My wife won't let me ride out overnight. I have way too many old girl friends out in the world.

you must talk in your sleep. I call my wife honey all the time just so I don't get her confused with anyone else. |

They do run nice, don't they
22k in 9 months is an accomplishment in itself! My 2009 just turned 23k. Think I am going to replace the brakes, replace the brake fluid, and so some other 'winter' maintenance within the next week or so. Riding year round really cuts down on maintenance time, but am NOT complaining.
I just got back from a 3700 mile trip, and on the way decided perhaps, for next year (50th Birthday), I will try to visit all 48 contiguous states, but in a 2-3 week time span. Have started the planning, and will update here. Am calling it...

Next year, along with New Orleans and Key West.
The wife says she is coming with me on the New Orleans and Key West trip.
You're still the KING of long rides.
I didn't even have one saddlesore ride on this trip.
Longest day was 953 miles.

Yeah, Alaska's OK.
He wants to impress us... have him ride it to Hawaii !
BTW: I'm in radioteacher's boat... or he's in mine. Either way, your yacht is making our boat look like a barge. |
