Denver | I have a Lowrance 550 and was wondering if anyone has tried this on the Vision. Is it too big... I am thinking about trying to mount it on the bike.
Also: I a getting the vision on Saturday the 10th. I am leaving on a 4000 mile ride on the 21st. What type of oil is in the vision and can I use Synthetic. How hard is it to change the oil?
I am going to try to put on 500 miles before I leave so I do not have to change the oil on the trip.
It is true that the warranty is only 1 year? ( I was used to the 3 year unlimited wing warranty).
What do you guys recommend for roadside assistance? I am not sure if my Honda riders club will still cover me.

I use mobile 1 20-50 full synthetec ,with a K&N oil filter, 1year unlimited warrenty.
Roadside assistance comes with the vision purchase.
I use a garmin 330c right now but looking for a much smaller unit.

Lexington, North Carolina | It's really very easy to change the oil. The part that takes the longest is letting all the old oil drain out. Both the drain and the filter are very easy to access. |

rhode island | not to hard allen style drain plug, you'll need a long neck funnel and only put in 4.5 quarts of oil not 5.
drive the bike onto a 2inch high ramp for clearance and also a 2inch block for you're kickstand front tire
only is needed. |

Evergreen, CO | Just what, exactly is a "Lorwrance 550"? Is it some form of a GPS, or ????
Oil is simple to change. If you have a low height, wide drain pan, all the better, then you won't need the 2" high ramp and 2" block for your kickstand. Doesn't make sense to pay the stealer over $100 for an oil change when you can get a great quality filter like K&N, and good quality synthetic for a whole lot cheaper, and have a happier Vision in the process. |
