2009 vision

I saw the 4 bolts looks fairly easy to remove. once removed, is there some type of cover plate that I need? Would like to keep trunk for future use , just prefer the eight ball look? Save the money on the bracket for hanging your trunk, instead go buy a heavy duty bike hook for a couple of bucks from Lowes or Home Depot.
