check to see if the outer banks are passable they got hit hard by irene and were shut down . only people who live there were allowed to go in. just a heads up. have a safe trip. |

Springfield Mo. | Hwy is supposed to open to Hatteras on Tuesday, but the north part didn't get closed down as far as I've read. Sounded like Hatteras Island and Okracoke island got hit pretty hard. Staying in Nags Head. |
