Helping my friend wire a new accessory to his '07 Vision.

We need to tap into three wires:

1. Brake signal wire (only hot when brakes are applied)
2. Left and Right turn signal wires (hot when turn signal switch activates turn signals)

Have the wiring diagram from the FSM, but just can't find where to locate those wires and tap into them.

Hoping that we could get to them at some point in the wiring harness that is under the seat and headed for the back of the bike.

Can anyone point me at the best (easiest to access) physical location on the bike to tap into those wires?

Thanks for any help.

OK, finally figured it out by ourselves with the FSM wiring diagram and a VOM.

Forgot to take a picture of the wire location when we were done, and the bike is headed home already. Oops!

At any rate, under the seat on the right side of the bike there are two wire harnesses that hug up against the right side of the bike and run all the way to the back of the bike and under the trunk.

The wire harness that is wrapped in electrical tape is the one that has the correct wires in it. The other wire harness has kind of a braided cover and that's not the one you want.

About half way back to the trunk in that harness you need to cut off the electrical tape to expose about a 3" or 4" length of those wires. There are about 8 wires in that harness.

The Black with Orange strip wire is the brake activation wire that is only hot when the brakes are applied

The Blue with Red stripe wire is the Right Rear turn signal wire.

The solid Blue is the Left Rear turn signal wire.

Also, if your accessory needs power, the Orange with Green stripe wire in that harness is hot all the time when the key is in the ON position, so that's your hot power wire.

Hope that helps somebody else out and results in much less swearing and foul language as it did for us!
