Wow! About 4 years ago a coworker said that he would stop riding when he turned 60. Never understood why age alone would be the reason to stop. Even so, I have to admit that 89 is special and a goal of 100 is incredible.

I'll only stop riding when it becomes dangereous to me. I'm actually having neuro issues but so far and amazingly it has not affected my riding. It was challenging this past winter, so I may go with a full heated glove to keep my dexterity optimal.

Too many people judge any 3 wheeler as not a motorcycle because "their" definition is 2 wheels. There are many reasons why people buy 3 wheelers. Some loose their ability to balance, some have trouble holding a bike up, some have injuries we can not see. Doesn't make them wrong. They are still doing what they enjoy and I am glad for them.
I have demoed 3 wheelers. Since my cancer treatment I have trouble holding my 900# Vision up with my short legs. I don't like the way 2 wheels in the back handle. I don't like having no hand brake on a Spyder, I like moving my legs around.
Another down side to 3 wheelers for me is when there is traffic backed up on the highway I can't see me getting down the breakdown lane with those idiot NJ drivers that move over toward the guardrail.
I am 61 and will see what the future brings.

When my time comes and I can no longer hold up a 2 wheeler, I will gladly embrace any configuration of trike if it keeps my knees in the breeze. My biggest problem (great problem to have) is my wife loves to ride as much as me but doesn't want her own bike so I have to be able to manage a big bike with a passenger almost 100% of my recreational traveling (and I'm a little guy at 5'6" 150lbs) so I will probably have to go to a trike sooner rather than later. Only time she isn't on the back is pretty much just my commute to work. Thankful for whatever time the Lord gives me to travel creation on 2 and eventually 3 wheels. I still have a long time on 2 wheels , Lord willing

I was out in Big Bend (Texas) at the gas station was a Harley trike. 84 year old rider and his 84 year old wife. She made him switch to three wheelers after he dumped the bike with both of them on it. She used to have her own bike but her eyes were failing her but she loved to ride.

I am a mere 66 years old so I have no idea how I may feel when I get old. So far I have no reason to give up riding on 2 wheels. If I have such a reason some day, I sure hope someone will get my attention between my rides. Until that happens there is no reason I can see to give up some very active riding. On this summer's agenda is a visit to my dad in Niagara Falls, a mere 670 miles and 10 hours away.

I guess I can somewhat understand trikes but they're not for me, when I hang up my helmet I'll move into a convertible-still have the wind, put the top up & kick the heater/AC on, and corners better than a trike.

This may have been the couple I met a couple of years ago on a gas stop.  The oldest couple I saw to date and spoke to them for a few minutes.  I remember her just saying they love to ride, but he wasn't going to drop her no more.

Age means nothing. Anyone that knows George will realize he's not slowing down.
