I'm enjoying this thread immensely. I've never been much of a "blipper" but I DO remember when I was out riding my first BMW...and '76 R/60/6...that I blipped the throttle to see how cool it sounded at that stop light I was at. Those little 600's had Delorto(I think) carbs on it, which were not the best pick because there was a lot of air flowing around the slide inside the thing.

Each and every time I blipped the throttle, the thing would stall right out. Not sure if it was a case of too much air or not enough gas but that was the first and last time I ever blipped a throttle.

Now put a set of Bing or Mikuni's on the beemer and I may have been the biggest blipper out there.
