Anyone have the ness saddlebag inserts for lowered visions?  I am thinking about them and wanted to see what they look like installed.

Thanks,

Jim

There the same as stock but narrower. Bet your thinking if you change them you can put on a bigger tire

I am really looking for pictures of them installed. Trying to get an idea of how they are installed. I want to lower my vision 3" in the rear and 1.5" in the front. I have the 1" rear link now.

Thanks

Jim

Hey John, I just saw a picture of your gray Vision on the VF site. What drop do you have front and rear on your bike?

Thanks,

Jim

I cut a inch out of the factory rod. Guess thats like dropping 2 inches. I did spacers up front 1 inch with new bolts 1/2-13 don't remember how low long.
Not sure you can do 3 inches in back cause of the angle you would put on the belt. You would have to modify the front sprocket cover for sure.
Even with all the dropping you plan on doing there might not be enough adjustment to get the headlight down

Well the hmd520 link does 2" and 3" with no mods other than the ness bad inserts and kick stand. Supposedly. May just do 1" front and 2" rear.

mine has been lowered 1 1/2" rear 1" front for 2 or 3 years with stock bags and I have never had an issue just have to make sure you have enough air in the shock and dont take it offroading.

Installing the Ness inserts.  Do I need to trim the bottom away as well?  I didn't think there was a depth issue.  I would prefer to leave the lip on the bottom for strength.  Here is a picture of the Right Bag.
