Hey everyone. I did it. Made the leap from HD to Victory. Happy but nervous. Never had anyone tell me anything bad about the brand, but after so long on the HD platform, it will take some getting used to. Need to start learning about these bikes. I'm in southeastern Mass.

Welcome friend. I've just bought my V V Tour too, about 3 weeks ago. I gave up a lifetime of great English bikes to ride this machine. Very pleased so far.

Welcome guys! The Vision changed my life. I hope you have the same experience. 112,000 miles on my Vision and I have a friend VaRyder with 180,000 + on his 2008 Vision.

Welcome to the family. After 80K miles, I still love this bike. Hopefully you will too.

Picked it up today and logged about 100 miles, alone and with my wife on the back. I love the handling...especially on highway on/off ramps. The bike seems to instinctively find a good line on its own. Seriously, the geometry and balance allow the bike to breeze through corners with the lightest touch of countersteer. This baby is going to get some serious miles logged on it. Happy to hear from high mileage owners, too. What did you do ?

72,000 miles on 2008. Would have over 80,000 on it but I also have another Victory in the garage. I change the oil myself and take it to the shop every 10,000 miles for inspection

Welcome Pork Chops, as long as you concentrate on the bike itself... you'll never look back. It'll just keep getting better and better.
Hopefully you never have to deal with Victory... they tend to be a bunch of knuckleheads. I guess they can get away with it because the bike is so dependable, serious issues are few and far between.
Enjoy the ride!

Go on You Tube and watch the 5 video series of Harley vs Victory engine design. You'll feel a lot better about your choice. I think its from Arizona Victory. Very eye opening from this guys perspective and I was a devout Triumph guy, never wanted a hog. Friends traded their Rocket III's in on Victory's so I watched them for a year and a half. Now on a Vision Tour.

take a 6mm allen wrench and check the inside bolts on the black half of your front fender.

read the owners book especially the part about checking the oil. A 2x4 under kickstand will make it so you don't have to sit on the bike

what year did you get

I have a new leftover 2013. Thanks for the tips. I have a lot to learn. The more I ride it, the more I love it. Hopefully now that July 4 is over, I can get some serious saddle time and get to know it.

Thanks for that info on the Arizona Harley videos. Loved it. Makes me feel like my own reasoning has been borne out by experts. Love it.

PrkChps, where in southeastern Mass are you? There's plenty of vision riders around. I'm on the south shore.

Check the Mass tags at the state line, we keep a vigilant eye out for Northern aggressors down here.

Seriously though, I've had my 2014 for almost a month and I had it down so low the bottom right side was scraping coming around Lake Lure a little while ago. That was two up.
