Riding to work this morning (pre-sunrise) and my lights keep going out. Though not all of them . I thought my aux, fork lights were all I had but once I got to work, I dismounted, left it running and they went out again. What is going out is the main headlights and the aux. fork lights. The only light I have during this time is the center "cyclops" HID. They stay out approximately 12 seconds and come back on. Went out about 6 times in a 30 mile commute. Any idea's? I'm about to ride to Sturgis, while the center beam lights the road well enough to safely continue, I would like to get this fixed before i go. Any insight is greatly appreciated !

Had same thing - had to replace one of the relays in the fuse boxes under the front cover. Cause for me was going to a higher watt bulb in the aux lights which overloaded the system. Turn off the fork lights until you get the replacement relay, and, no, it wasn't available at the local auto parts store.

I posted info here when it happened, but don't recall if it included which relay went out.

Thanks, I will try that. Get this, today, it didn't do it at all! Everything worked fine. I know those little aux lights get HOT! I had to hook up jumper cables to jump my HD buddy off and I got too close to the aux light and it burned the piss out of me. The exhaust couldn't be hotter than that thing.

Glad to be able to help.

If you need to find 35 watt bulbs for the auxiliary lights pick up halogen projector bulbs available at any hardware store for just a few bucks. Then carefully remove the thick glass lens from the PIAA bulb to place in front of the flat lens on the projector bulb. I soaked the bulbs in mineral spirits then patiently used a thin blade razor knife to remove the lens. Cheap and effective. Been using the same bulbs since I first reported the headlight overload.

Got the circuit breaker at O'Reilly's for about $16 with tax. Popped it in right in their parking lot. Problem solved, now let's go to Sturgis

I think you should also finally break down or keep looking under the couch and spend the 5 bucks on a set of plugs before you go considering your scooter has like 200K miles and no servicing with the exception of oil changes you cheapskate

Not as many black tee shirts as I would have expected. Shame that you blinked when they took the picture.
