What's the purpose on that rubber insert behind the Visions front air filter and can it be removed to allow more air intake and increased performance?

How would it increase performance? Do a test... have 2 straws.. 1 regular size, 1 a lot bigger .. which pulls more through the straw faster?

That's not there by mistake

I ask Rylan at The Vic Shop this a couple weeks back. If he though it was worth pulling the tubes out. He said he found no difference in power with it in or out. So he stopped pulling them

I had mine removed a while back; beside a raspy intake noise, idid not see any difference in power.
