I see this forum has petered out to a trickle since the halcyon days when they used to make Victory Visions, but I just wanted to pop in and say that I'm still riding my '10 8 Ball and it gets as many looks and comments as it ever did! It ain't the fastest thing around, but it holds its own as always and riding it absolutely rocks! Down to the local pub or around the Washington State Peninsula where the roads stretch for miles without so much as a stop sign, and water and mountain vistas abound, it's smooth and reliable and comfortable as anything out there still!!

FYI- Just a reminder that the intro to Grays Anatomy is a photoshop. It actually rains every day, never lets up, it's cold, windy, the traffic sucks, and Bigfoot clogs up the rural roads so bad you can't begin to get around, so don't move here.

Thanks in advance,

Russ

Enjoying both of mine despite the idiotic Polaris management teams decision to drop Vic. 49,000 on my 09 Black and 76,000 on the 09 Blue. Best bikes I've ever owned.

I'm still riding my 2008 Tour Premium, and will be headed your way at some point in the next three weeks. We are going northwest to Glacier, then into Canada, then over and down into your neck of the woods. Then we will wander around Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Wyoming, etc.

74,000 miles on my '08 Premium. Only 2 problems. Cruise control switch quit working and gas cap leaked (ya'll remember the gas cap issue on early models?). Both fixed under warranty no questions asked. No problems since. Just lots of rear tires and brake pads replacements. I ride every day to work rain or shine. The wind management is so good I ride most of the winter too. Temperature has never stopped me yet. I've ridden at 15F (-9.4C) dozens of times. Only ice or snow on roads make me park it. Every weekend the gf and I take the tandem bicycle to a Greenway or the mountain bikes to a trail. This great machine has been my hauler and my daily driver for 9 yrs now. It's never let me down and still runs like new.

I have no desire to get rid of mine any time soon. She still runs great; she's still very reliable; she still gets a lot of positive attention; and I haven't seen anything that comes close to what she offers me in comfort.

I still love riding mine and I do pop onto this site every now and then just to see if there is anything new. I never even thought about getting rid of mine, in fact I did the exact opposite, i was looking for good deals to pick up another one. We ended up just with a new Dodge Ram 3500 to pull our fifth wheel to replace the 06. So now I couldn't afford to pay for another bike for a few years.

Still riding my 08 Vision Tour Premium. About 120,000 miles on it. One of the earliest ones delivered.

My 2009 with 79k miles has had three cruise control switch failures, two front fork rebuilds, front fender replacement, fuel pump failure, drive belt failure, reupholstered worn out seat - And yesterday a complete electrical failure on a ride back from Sedona AZ. Bike in UHaul headed for shop today.

But I still Love the bike, and can't get past the "Anger" stage of grief on their decision to drop the Victory line.

think of Indian as the new victory, if you ride one you'll understand, they used a lot of the same ideas and parts. Rides just like a Victory. Notice they didn't sell the name to anyone.

Sorry but I disagree with your statement but I will say the Indians look great. I have tried out the Chief and riden some 7000 miles on the roadmasters (standard and Classic) which I have rented when I have come over to the states from the UK. The Indians are analoge and the Victorys are digital its the best way I can explain it. I would not swap my Vision for an Indian it would be a downgrade and a backward step.

ok, I made a very general statement, comparing most of the victory lineup to the indian lineup, and the way the controls and layout feel. To me the Cross country tour and the chieftain are the same. however, I can most assuredly agree that nothing compares to the Vision, that I have rode to date. Also, agree I wouldn't swap my vision for any of the indian lineup. To me just a much better ride.

83,000 on my 08 Tour Premium since 26 April 2008. Heading to Halifax NS, Canada in 2 days...Estimating 2500 miles for 10 day trip. Wouldn't do it on anything but my Victory. I was hoping to fall in love with the Indian, then I drove one. Like SongFan said, "Victory has spoiled me". I'm not a big guy, but I felt crowded and it didnt corner like i can on my Vision. I think VARider has over 225,000 miles. I'll drive this bike til the wheels fall off.

We just got back from an 18 day trip that covered 6152.1 miles. Part of it was in your lovely State. No rain, but lots of smoke.

The old 2008 Vision never missed a lick. Best bike I have owned in 52 years of riding.

I've heard from some Polaris sources that while the Victory badge is dead, one can expect a new Indian badged bike that Victory fans will like. I'm just waiting to see what 2018 brings.

Even though I traded my Vision with 109K miles for a CCT last fall, I still lurk around here. The CCT isn't as comfortable as the Vision but the storage space is better. I actually am looking to add another bike to the stable. I am dealing on a 2008 Yamaha FJR1300 just for shits and giggles.

Gosh!
Anybody remember when this was a vibrant, crowded, excited blog/forum thing? Well I do! With Gerbing electric gear, and a scooter that can actually generate enough electricity (I used to have to take a flashlight up front to see if the headlight on my Norton was on or not) to run it all, I've extended my riding season to...well, just a couple days ago before the snow and now rain set in here in the Great Northwest!
My '10 8 Ball still wows'em at the local dive or wherever I choose to go, and I still can't get enough of it!
I let a buddy of mine ride mine it down I-5 to Olympia (no trains fell on my head as we went under that now infamous trestle), and I was amazed at how BIG that thing really is! Size matters in scooterdom, IMHO, and still nuthin' comes close to my Victorys' footprint! I'm applying for my own zip code.
So Happy New Year to anyone who may accidentally stumble across these musings, and take comfort in the fact that this new season will not see a new Vision appear to make ours "last year's model!" Which saves us all about 30 grand! And THAT'S a VERY good thing in my book!!
Seasons Greetings to you all, and remember, the traffic sucks in Western Washington, trains fall out of the sky, it rains every day and the rural roads are so crowded with Bigfoot you can't get ANYWHERE, assuming there was anyplace worth going to!
So visit often, but don't move here!!

The Red Orphan ('13 Vision) found his brother Orange Orphan Hotrod ('17 Highball) and brought him home so he wouldn't have to be alone.... Gonna ride both till the wheels fall off.....But the Vision is KING. ;-)(I'd post a picture but I don't put my "stuff" "On Line" as it were) Ride on Brothers and Sisters

Yep, still 'runnin' and still riding. Not sure there is another bike out there that I could have jumped on this past week with temps in the 20's and ride 20 or so miles without even thinking about plugging in the electric jacket liner. The ride, protection and reliability will likely never be beat.

I just got mine tuned this fall with a Maximus by Ryan at 801 Motorworx (http://801motoworx.com/) and she's purring better than ever! She's like a new bike :-) As far as the forum goes, I just put a plug out there on the FB Vision groups for people to not forget about this place. Most of the good information is right here!
