Fountain Inn, SC United States | At first I thought the Vision's hardbags were limited in their capacity. But as the bags were unpacked, I was surprised how much fit into them. The extra little cubbies, while reducing the common volume, allow for easily stowing & retrieving small items. Take note of the Vision logo'd luggage which pulls out for carrying. Further inspection reveals both sides have the same capacity, unlike Kingpin harbags which have to allow for right-side exhaust.

| It still seems like they could have gotten more space under those covers. On a bike like this, luggage capacity is a huge selling point, after all, the bike is designed with the thought of 2-up riding. I know the bike has more overall space than an Electra-Glide Classic--but Victory is targeting the best of Honda, BMW, and Harley-Davidson all at the same time. Granted, this issue wouldn't keep me from (actually, won't) from buying a Vision...but it is something for the future development of the bike. If enough people mention it, it will get fixed in the next "redesign" of the bike. And knowing Victory, they're willing to change things from year to year (unlike another American motorcycle company). |

Mount Vernon, WA United States | In looking at the bags, it's hard to tell, but with the organization compartments they may hold an equal amount to some larger bags that you can just "throw stuff in". It's hard to tell without trying them. I see a larger concern for me is that there doesn't seem to be a lot of room to tie anything down beyond the trunk and bags. Probably not an issue for most folks, but to me this bike seems perfect for going camping, but two up, it may not have room to put the tent and chairs. Now stop laughing, I put them on my current bikes without issue. In the past I have had top-boxes with "racks" built into the top of them to tie down the extra bits. Not stylish I'm sure, but style has little to do with my choice in bikes. |

| I think the passenger "grips" will be great for securing things in the back seat on a trip (if you don't have a passenger), but if you're riding two up, you'll need HitchDoc to make a hitch for it. And hopefully Victory considered wiring, much like the Goldwing (Honda doesn't suggest pulling a trailer, but on the 1800 model, put a harness right at the rear fender to help those that do pull a trailer). |

MN. | I looked very closely at the bags. Small. No way they will fit near as much as my TC's bags. Though this won't stop me from getting one, I think they made a big mistake here.

| Yes . . . they definately went for style on the saddle bags (a plus for local day trips). The rear trunk doubles the space almost exactly and can be attached for weekenders and vacations. I feel the looks suffer a little with it in the touring mode, but when out for a day ride with mama on the back I will want a little more support and hope they make a smaller backrest as well. In this case I only need a place to put our jackets and her fanny pack. I don't see a problem with the bags right now. (I'll let you know in Sept.) A chrome rack on the trunk will be another nice add on.

Colorado | The bike is full of contradictions......It looks huge yet handles like a sportbike...the luggage is no differnt looks small and yet carried all our stuff! Bad...does not pack light

I have a V92C with LeatherLyke bags that "look" too small for the bike, however the reality is that they hold a lot. I think people are going to have to "rethink" how they pack the Vision, but I'm guessing at least on the Tour version everything they had on their TC or Kingpin will fit in that top box.
I rented an Ultraglide once, and for a day trip Lisa and I fit everything we needed in the top box, and a bunch of stuff we didn't need too. Never even used the saddle bags. I think that's the approach the TC folks are going to need to take. Put everything of substance into the trunk, but the gloves, rainsuit, purse, snacks, drinks all that small stuff in the saddle bags and it will be just fine. |

Let me by the 3rd to say I am very disapointed about the saddlebag size, but the won't stop me
from getting one. 
I would like to see a picture of the Victory top trunk rack. I won't be waiting for another after
market manufacturer to make a cheaper one because I want one NOW . I just hope it doesn't
look too odd (because the Vision looks so normal  )

MN. | It seems some people who have packed the bike, say there is a more space then it seems. This would be good news. I am just spoiled by my TC in that reguard. I like my top loading bags, where I can just drop stuff in. I will have to stuff my jacket in one of the bags next time I am around one. |
