We are putting out the call for articles to our members. We are looking for articles on anything Victory, it doesn't have to be about the Vision. While we can't pay you for your work, we will be sure to send you a free tshirt and stickers for your effort.

We're looking for an article of about 1000 words, with photos if possible. It's not that hard once you get started. Just let those creative juices flow!

Some topic suggestions:
2010 Cross Country/Road bike review. Demos are now touring the west coast. You left coast guys have a leg up on us. Go get a demo ride, take photos and tell us what you think.

Fall Ride review. There's gotta be some nice fall rides for you folks that live near great roads with turning foliage.

Your Engine Mod. If you can document your engine modification in detail, we want to see it. KevinX, you have some photos and a good writing style, let's see something!

We're open to ideas. If you have one, let me know and I'll help where I can. There's a bunch of talented folks on this site, let us hear from you.

I saw the new 2010 bikes at CycleDragon in Cerritos, CA yesterday.  The factory truck is NOT letting anyone ride the new Cross Roads or Cross Country bikes.  They are in the showroom only.

They have a stock Cross Roads and stock Cross Country.  A Ness Modified Cross Roads (lots of chrome, aftermarket seat, beach bars, fork mount faring, large front wheel, etc).  They also have a naked frame bike on display.

Tim

Just out of curiosity, there are three major websites invovled in Victory orientated info. Is it possible you guys could work together and link to each other so us Victory owners could get the best out of all sites?

Tims - understand about the X-bikes. Hopefully they'll have demos soon. It was just an example of the kind of article we're looking for. I'm sure you guys can come up with even better ideas. Let's hear them!

Hank - how about you write an article on the different websites available for the Victory enthusiast. BTW, there's more than 3.

Story potential interest?
Last weekend about 100 Victory bikes from 3 dealerships on the Mid Atlantic states gathered for the annual fall ride through Natural Bridge in Virginia. Some of the nations twistiest craziest mountain roads you will ever see. Had three bikers go down. Two Visions and one
Yamaha. Damage to bikers and bikes was very interesting. Would you care to hear that story? We have photos

I attended the Edmonton bike show this weekend and helped (I think) the Western Canada UN NATO Veterans booth. While taking some time to view the show and look for goodies. i of corse went to the Victory display. And I was amazed at the amount of orange and black clad people were there. Along with the comment that the Vision was way out there, the next most common was it costs a fortune to make my bike keep up power wise with the Victory bikes. After talking to a long time Harley guy for a while he said that if he ever found a bike that felt better than his Road King he would buy it. He sat on the X Country and said that if it rides like it shows he was all over it. The neat part was that there was three dealers sharing the booth, and the guys that already owned the different Victory models were the ones doing the selling. No one was asked to it just happened and really showed that at least some of us canucks are devoted Victory guys. No attitudes just happy owners and riders

G'day,

We're planning a trip to Ayers Rock in the Northern Territory, from Mackay in Central Queensland, Australia in March, once the weather cools down. About a five day trip across the Tanami dessert a couple of days at the rock, and the Olgas and another five day trip back home through the outback, via the Walkabout Creek pub...(McKinlay - Qld) south of Mt Isa....We'll be towing a Classic GT trailer with our camp and spare water and fuel in it.

We'll keep you in the loop and send a story with photos when we get back.

on another note,
I have a CeeBaileys headlight protector on my 08 Vision Tour Prem'. It costs about $140Aus landed and earned its value on the weekend when a stone flicked up from my wife's bike and smashed the headlight protector. Money well spent, thanks Cee Bailey, you saved me from what would have been a definite new headlight.....don't even want to know what one would cost over here...
cheers
Swampy.

Ok let me try again, evidently my first reply didn't get posted here. I just completed a 1,548 mile run from Wylie, Texas to the Big Bend area. It was hot, used a lot of sun screen and drank a lot of water. I am a Disabled vet, which is why I bought the Vision Tour Premium. I have a lot of pictures, and would like to give my account of the run. The only problems that I had was that the intercom, CB, and intermittent radio. Also I found that because the kickstand let's it lay so low, that when it was loaded or I was tired, I had a problem lifting it up. Also I had issues if I had to park with a steep incline. Can this be fixed, let me know how I can post my story and post the pictures that I have.

Thanks Terry C. (Dawg)
