Late Thursday evening, after listening to her beloved Purdue Boilers defeat Wisconsin, she gently passed away and is now meeting with loved ones in Heaven.

She battled her brain tumor with same fervor she taught her second grade students, leaving no stone unturned, and in the end the tumor was shrinking. Her death was a result of complications created by the steroids she was on.

Thanks to all of you who became a surrogate family during this, to those who sent cards to someone they didn't know, or said a prayer, or spoke kind words, I and my family thank you. She thought is so neat that you would do that for her.

If you choose you may view her picture @ www.nswcares.com

She's the very pretty blond

Smitty,

May god and your friends be close to you during your hard times. I know very little of what you must be going thru, but I did loose my mother at the age of eighteen. One thing that got me thru was. At least I got to Know her for that time, some never got to meet her and it was there losse. You had alot of special times and memories with her that no one can ever take from you. Hope that helps you in some way

Smitty, I don't know you, but I'm so sorry to hear of such a devastating loss and share your grief  having lost my father in mid October to the complications from the 'cure' for his cancer, so I truly do sympathize with your loss. May she rest in peace now.

Smitty,
If I remember right, I had the pleasure of meeting you and Regina at Catlins a few years back. That was a busy weekend with the VMC meet and I had great time while I was there, but not enough time to get to know everyone better. I hope you the best for this coming year of firsts. I lost my dad in 2004, I still think about him almost everyday. But that first year was the worst for me. He passed before Easter and every holiday, birthday or anniversary that first year was tough for me. So as this year goes along, I will be including you in my daily prayers so that you will not be alone. May the Lord be with you both. ET

Smitty. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. All of my prayers and condolences go with you. I feel some of the pain as my 43 yr old step daughter had had her second, and last, frontal left lobe surgery. As with your wife, hers is shrinking from the chemo but the meds are taking a toll. Right now we just cherish everyday with her like I know you did with your wife. I just hope when Kellys time comes I can be a comfort to her mother.

God Bless you, Smitty.
