My daughter and I are making this trip on the Vision at the end of June. We are pulling a trailer, camp gear.. If you have thoughts on campgrounds, hotels, human fuel stops, bike toy stores, good Victory dealers and spectacular sights enroute, please let me know or email me.

I guess that might include palces to stay away from as well..

Thanks

This is a great online resource for any motorcycle road trip in the 48 states.........

http://www.motorcycleroads.com/index.htm

It lists hundreds of routes and rates them by quality of road for motorcycles, quality of scenery, stuff to do along the way, etc.

Have a great trip

Astoria Wa. is a nice place to visit. We stayed at the Red Lion, it was a reasonable price with a nice view. If you are feeling up to it, you can climb the stairs at the big lookout tower thats there. There will be all sorts of campgrounds open that time of year. Sounds like a fun trip. Enjoy.

Once owned by Charie Chaplin.
Incredible rooms. My copilot loves this place.
Inside Parking with security - Touring bike friendly staff. The Valet parking staff spent a fair amount of time "Oohing and ahhing" over my Vision.

Central Coast Wine Country has some of the best motorcycle roads around. State 154 takes you through the San Marcos Pass into central coast wine country if that interests you. It's a great ride too - not as spectacular as rt 1 Monterey and Big Sur but fun none the less ; and if you like grapes its a nice destination with a lower price tag then Napa.
